What does a high amount of sugar do to the body?

Did you know that? It's no secret that American has a sweet tooth. Here are a couple of facts and secrets about sugar.
  • Large amounts of sugar weakens white blood cells
  • 10 teaspoons of sugar will depress the immune system by around 33%
  • 30 teaspoons of sugar shuts down the immune system for the whole day
  • A chocolate bar has 7 tsp of sugar
  • A plain doughnut has 7 tsp of sugar                          
  • A 1/2 cup of ice cream has 5-6 tsp of sugar
  • A 12 oz can of soda has 9 tsp of sugar
Sugar is sweet, but can also be scary. You don't have to completely eliminate it from your diet, just limit it.
