Foods for Health: Herb Edition

    • Basil- fights cancer by inhibiting the growth of tumors.
      • Goes great with salad. Incorporate it into homemade salad dressing
    • Cilantro- kills food-borne bacteria such as salmonella
    • Oregano- prevents cell damage. (It has a high content of antioxidants.)
      • Use it when cooking soup
    • Parsley- strengthens the immune system because it contains high levels of Vitamin C
    • Rosemary- protects against breast cancer by reducing the amount of acrylamides in food
