Random Money Facts of the Day

These facts are all about money:
  • A piece of currency can be folded forward and back 4,000 times before it will tear.
  • Money is made of mostly cotton, not paper.
  • A million $1 bills weigh 2,200 pounds.
  • In 2007, it cost around 6.2 cents to print one bill. 
  • A dollar from 1950 is now worth only $0.12
  • In 1920, the purchasing power of money fell so low that the German currency, became cheaper than firewood.
